Movements of eight mono inputs inside a eight speaker "cube" :
- the position of the speakers and the distance are fixed
- the movements of the all inputs is controlled excusively by a standard 3D joystick
The following parameters can be controlled :
- distance between each object
- inertia
- chaos (trigged or continuous)
- circle (radius and pulse)
- gravity (top and bottom limits, rate and curve for the bounces)
- automatic 3D trajectory : shape and speed for each axis |

ADopplerEn is a classic doppler effect. It combines a pitch shifter and a rotator to reproduce the effect a static listener can hear when a train or a car is moving fast. It is based on two synced LFOs with an adjustable phase difference which can be synced to the host. |

The Binaural Simulator VST is an effect which allows you to position a sound source in any location in a 3D audio environment. Using the eight auditory cues your ears use to recognize direction and distance, this VST realistically simulates binaural audio. P.I. is a dual channel Phase Inverter. It reverses stereo waveform polarity.
Unlike many other phase inverters, BRB-P.I. inverts the negative/positive polarity of both the left and right channels simultaneously - and does so with a crossfading action to eliminate sudden clicks.
This is not intended to be anything fancy. |

bx_solo is a nice little tool that we have designed to get you STARTED with and used to the way we approach the M/S technique - be it for recording-, mixing- or mastering purposes. The "heart" of our M/S tools are our unique SOLO BUTTONS that allow you to actually LISTEN to all components of a stereo mix / stereo signal individually:
L(left channel), R(ight channel), M(ono sum) & S(tereo difference signal) - and all this PHASE CORRECTED (when needed) and mono-ed out on BOTH SPEAKERS of your system. This is very helpful when working in M/S modes (because especially listening to only the S-signal of a stereo mix is not so easy to do with modern DAW stations) and to check your signals / mixes for errors, noises, clicks, whatever...
bx_solo also contains a STEPPED M/S STEREO WIDTH CONTROL, so you can get an impression about what you can actually do with ist. Do try it out on subgroups (makes ROCK GUITAR subgroups jump out of your speakers at about 150% !!!), FX returns, keyboards / samplers, etc. |

Let's assume that you have a stereo track in which an acoustic guitar is the only instrument in the left channel, and a voice is the only signal in the right. If you pan all left, you might intuitively think that the singer will gradually be heard in the left channel. But with typical hardware and software panning solutions, this is not so!
Instead, the singer's voice is merely lowered until it cannot be heard at all. You may find yourself with a stereo track in which you want to hear all of the instruments or sounds, but simply want to change the entire track's relative stereo position.
Returning to the above example, if you use Fondleo to pan all left, the singer's voice will gradually blend into the left as it is faded out from the right. The end result: your entire stereo track ends in the left channel-- guitar and voice. |

We use our HDPHX plugin routinely when mixing with headphones. It takes advantage of the Haas Effect to provide a delayed and attenuated cross-channel mix in each ear to present the sound that would be heard with a stereo speaker system with speakers placed at +/-30 degrees azimuth from front-center.
The plug-in has no user interface. It simply plugs into your stereo audio output channel, and provides the same high-quality 64-bit computing that our other plug-ins feature. |

This is a bunch of "tools" (seems like I have a predilection for bundles...) intended to process stereo streams but focusing on middle and side instead of left and right.
The idea is *really* simple but the effects can be subtle and powerful.
::msEncode and msDecode::
These to ones are just converters mapping M -> L and S -> R so that you can put your own effects between the coder and the decoder. The effects below are just some hard-coded ones.
::msComp::
This one uses the same compression algorithm as my "classic" compressor, but focus on the Middle signal without touching at the Side. A typical use of this effect is to boost a mix without touching at the stereo image.
::msBalance::
2 separate gains for the Middle and side signals.
::msSwap::
it just swap the Middle and Side. You can use it before msComp if you want to compress the side instead of the Middle.
::msDelay::
This is a simplified version of analog delay that you can use to delay either the middle or the side.

MM FX 05 PANFILTER is a VST effect. Each Channel of the incoming signal is filtered with 3 bandpass filters with adjustable offset and then goes to an autopanner. The filter has joystick control for frequency and resonance and is modulated by a syncable LFO. The LFO goes to audiorate when controlled manually, so it is possible to do filter FM as well.
The sonic results of this FX vary from subtle widening of pads and adding some "air" to extremely weird FM and modulated sound, depending on the input source and the parameters. |

Stereo-Enhancer is a VST-plugIn for the PC-platform for the modification of stereo-width of a signal. The adjustment can be made for low, mid and high frequencies seperately. This stereoizer is different than most others. I modelled it after an old hardware-synth that I have. Its nothing fancy but its efficient. It works by adding a phase-inverted, slightly delayed, discrete chorus to the dry signal. Unlike a typical chorus effect, which tends to turn a solo-instrument into an ensemble sound, this stereoizer is more transparant. Its also not a typical "delay" effect, or a "surrounder" which isn't really mono-compatible.
Its mono-compatible: If you monoize the sound again (left channel + right channel) the added effect will dissapear completely, leaving only the original sound. This has the benefit that you can use it on basses, even kick-drums, as well as any other sound. People who listen to your music in mono will not hear the stereoizer at all ! Stereoized bass-sounds won't sound sloppy on sound-systems where there are only one loudspeaker (sub-woofer) for the bass. |

delay time, frequency and amplitude of the incoming signal
Combines delay modulation and MS routines
to create natural sounding stereo effects
It can also be used as a chorus/flanger/phaser or

Very useful for doubling vocals or synthies
or to manipulate the stereo base of incoming audio

Adjust the position of percussion sounds in a stereo loop, or add stereo positioning to mono samples, placing frequencies exaclty where you want them. Stereoplacer gives you control that is simply not available with a traditional mix setup.
Stereoplacer is a fine-tune parametric EQ with the addition of stereo positioning controls. This allows you to tune each band into specific frequencies and move the frequency content around in the stereo sound stage. You can also apply different amounts of cut and boost to the Left and Right channels, or allow Stereoplacer to keep the balance of the original sounds while you choose the position.

Have you ever loaded up a sample library and discovered that the "stereo" samples are not really stereo? Classic examples are:
* Upright bass with microphone on the left, piezo pickup on the right
* Bass drum with one microphone panned left, a very different one panned right
You'll know the drill: split the track into two mono tracks, process each one separately.
Have you ever needed to tame a track where the panning was just a bit too radical? The same drill.
These tracks aren't stereo, they're steroid!
And you need a bouncer to knock them into shape.
Steroid Bouncer will save you heaps of effort in most of these situations. It gives you independent mixing, panning, EQ and (delicious) overdrive control over each channel of a "stereo" track. |

This plug-in is designed for use in Cubase and Nuendo. It simulates the bass management systems found on most dolby digital and dts surround sound receivers. This allows surround sound engineers to hear what their 5.1 surround mix sounds like without having to burn a CDr or DVDr and then play it through a consumer 5.1 surround receiver. |

UpStereo is a simple, useful tool - it makes your mixes bigger, in stereo width and loudness.
Using three basic basic systems:
1. A fixed frequency EQ designed to lift the highest audio frequencies, and boost the bass.
2. A stereo width unit, for expanding stereo sounds so they appear wider and fatter. At extreme levels other characteristics are also brought out of the sound, so this can also be used as a tonal control for individual instruments. This also has a mono setting, useful for squashing up those aggressive samples that take over the mix.
3. A loudness button that raises the waveform to the limits in a smooth curve. This saturation gives the mix a more perceived loudness, without clipping.
These stages create an overall loudness effect on the final output, so a gain control is included to keep the limits in check.
The main 'bubble' display on the plug-in is really a basic meter, when one of the stereo halves flash white, then the output is in danger of being clipped. Try and keep the levels so the white flashes only occasionally, this enables the loudness saturator to work at it's best. |
